TLC's bunkhouses initially were contructed on a rotating schedule beginning in the early 1950's and all have been renovated a number of times over the decades, including upgrades to comply with the American With Disabilities Act.
After severe storms damaged bunkhouses 1 and 2 in the Spring of 2020, TLC accelerated plans to replace these buildings in 2021. To make way, Bunkhouse 1 and the Real Dormitory will be demolished during the summer of 2021, while Bunkhouse 2 has already been demolished at the first of the year.
The new bunkhouses will be larger than those they replace and are esitmated to cost $1,800,000 each. TLC is inviting those who would like to fund all or poritions of this important project to join us, particularly those who might be interested in naming opportunities.
TLC's president & CEO is willing to make deals and is willing to work with donors to "carve-out" complete bunkhouses or portions of their construction that can be named to meet the needs of TLC's donors, ie: lobbies, individual rooms, furniture, equipment and ammenities.
