Join us for a weekend of fun, relaxation, and learning about advances in diabetes and diabetes care among the beautiful hill country of Central Texas. Through this gathering, we hope to improve the lives of adults (and their families and friends) who are living with type 1 diabetes (though please be aware that child care will not be provided).

Goals:

1. Host a residential gathering of college age and older young adults with type 1 diabetes, and their spouses or friends, to provide fellowship, recreation, and medical and personal life skills education over a weekend in the spring of 2010.
2. Develop an on-line community and support system from this gathering that will persist beyond the event weekend.
3. Create a framework for future gatherings like this on an ongoing basis.
